If a person has to decode the interface, the product is still part of the mess.
About
I like work that finally makes sense.
I am Ivan Minier. I live in Vermont, study Business Administration at the University of Vermont, and founded Tideframe Labs. I design and build software, and sometimes I work on ideas that are not software at all.
The through-line is ordinary. I keep running into useful things that are exhausting in practice: a television catalog that looks like a spreadsheet, rental photos with no structure, a Mac that stays in one arrangement all day, campus housing that is hard to talk about clearly, laundry rooms you cannot see until you walk there.
I try to understand those well enough to reorganize them. The finished thing should feel obvious.
What I care about
Software can be capable without being loud. Native platforms help with that.
Rental records, playlists, and workspace profiles do not need to live on somebody else’s server.
Move-in photos stay attached to the room they document. A channel keeps its guide.
A short project arc
UVM LaundryLink — a campus tool so students can see laundry rooms before they walk across campus.
Trinity Redistricting — an independent housing feasibility vision for UVM’s Trinity Campus.
Tideframe Labs — Modeboard for Mac, then Tideframe Rental Record on the App Store, then Lineup in development.
